Skin discoloration under the eyes affects just about everybody at some time or another. For some of us, however, these “dark circles” are a near-constant bother. While these conditions are occasionally symptomatic of other illnesses, the usual cause is allergies, tiredness, or, unfortunately, heredity.Among internal factors, we have certain illness such as Edison’s disease and some hepatic problems. If someone is taking too much iron, for instance, it can cause darker areas on the skin. Hormonal changes during pregnancy or menopause also have a role to play. The deficit of certain vitamins and minerals such as calcium and vitamins A, E and B also can cause hyper-pigmentation.Dark circles often develop when the skin under the eyes becomes thin and more transparent as a person naturally ages. Due to thinner skin, blood flow in veins under the eyes is much more apparent making the skin appear darker. Not getting enough sleep, insomnia, and sleep deprivation also play a role in having dark circles.Getting enough sleep and relieving stress can eliminate dark circles under your eyes. If you’re living the typical busy life: staying up late, getting up early, working hard, and playing harder, the dark circles under your eyes can easily be a symptom of exhaustion and stress. In the morning, wash your face with cold water to help blood vessels constrict. Then, apply an eye cream that contains Retinol and vitamin K. Since it may take several months of daily use to see maximum results from the cream, you might want to consider using a little Preparation H to reduce the appearance of your dark circles in the meantime.Use tea bags and cucumbers! Yes there definitely is something to seeing those commercials with women having cucumbers and tea bags on top of their eyes. Both tea bags and cucumbers reduce inflammation and decrease swelling. Tea bags are especially good to use for dark swollen circles because there is tannin inside of the tea that helps with eliminating the puffiness.Dark circles can treated with regular and gentle care.Cover your eyes with cotton soaked in luke warm milk for 15 minutes everyday to remove the dark circles around your eyes or dip cotton pads into freshly extracted mint juice, flatten them and place them on closed eyelids for 10 to 15 minutes.Identify allergens. Allergies may be the most common cause of skin discoloration under the eyes. If allergies are the root of your problem, you simply need to treat them or remove the allergen (i.e., the thing to which you are allergic). Seasonal allergy problems such as the hay fever can frequently be effectively treated with over-the-counter and prescription medications. For other allergies the best course of action is usually avoidance. While eating a healthy diet will help boost your energy and ward off illness, it’s also a great way to reduce the appearance of dark circles under your eyes. Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables to prevent the vitamin deficiencies that can affect your skin’s appearance. Reducing your salt intake will also help improve the look of your skin, since too much salt can cause the body to retain water in undesirable places.
There are a lot of ways to remove dark circles under your eyes. Having our eyes kept in their best condition is of utmost importance. Our eyes are usually among the first body parts that other people notice in us, and thus they are crucial in how other people make their first impressions of us.Certainly, we don’t want to come off as mean looking, tired, or God forbid, older than what we actually are just because of these dark circles. Thus, solutions for dark circles are needed. Unfortunately, for some of us, dark circles are something that we cannot actually avoid because they run in our families.Yes, dark circles can be hereditary, among other causes. Also, with today’s hectic lifestyles, only a few of us can really adhere to proper sleeping and dietary habits. Proper sleep and diet can contribute a lot to someone not having dark circles if that person doesn’t have it in his or her family.A set of ways to remove dark circles that may usually be among the first people think of are cosmetic solutions. After all, they are readily available in drugstores and have a scientific slant to back up their reputation. To apply, eye creams are recommended to be put in the affected area twice a day. They are said to aid in firming up the skin in that area.Eye creams with vitamin K are reputed and proven to repair engorged blood vessels that add to the blue tinge in the eye regions and also gently whiten the skin in the affected area, this aiding in making the dark pigments fade. You may also consider cosmetic solutions like foundations and concealers that assure coverage of the darkened areas. As promising as they are, these solutions can also present some issues.First, eye creams and cosmetics are not necessarily the most affordable things available in the drugstore. If you are going to adhere to these solutions, prepare to allocate serious money for them.Second, these solutions come off as temporary. Cosmetics need to be re-applied everyday at least, while eye creams can only be effective in the time that you apply them religiously. To remove dark circles without having to resort to the methods mentioned above may require you to do some changes in your lifestyle. These involve two major factors: rest and diet. If you are serious about improving your appearance, then you will need to make changes in your schedule to allow you to get enough sleep every day.Not only will getting enough sleep improve your complexion, blood circulation and reduce any eye puffing, getting enough sleep will also help your body in functioning properly. This leads to proper nutrition in diet. Your proper bodily functions include digesting and using beneficial vitamins and minerals for the body.As with dark circles, try eating more foods with iron. After all, several studies have shown that an iron rich diet significantly reduces discoloration in the region under the eyes.See? These solutions do not cost nearly as much as the medical and cosmetic solutions mentioned above. Furthermore, these solutions are concrete steps to a healthier, changed you.

It many cases it is possible to prevent, reduce or even remove dark circles and puffy eyes, with the right treatment. A new eye gel that is natural and safe is getting good reports by users. A holistic approach always works best, which means that we need to treat the problem from a variety of different angles, but mostly from the inside out and from the outside in. Here are 5 essential steps. 1: Practice Healthy Sleep Habits to Reduce Dark Circles Anyone that has ever gotten by on two or three hours of sleep has seen shadows just beneath their lower eyelids. But, once they get a full night’s sleep, they go away. As we get older, the delicate blood vessels beneath the eyelids start to leak, which can mean that the shadows become permanent. The idea that older people need less sleep has been proven false. No matter your age, you need a full 8-10 hours of sleep every day. If you don’t get it, you won’t look as good. Why? It’s because, most of the repair-work necessary for maintaining a young healthy appearance is done while you are asleep. Try to be in bed by midnight. Think of it as a puffy eye remedy. You’ll look better in the morning. 2: Strive to Reach Optimal Nutrient Intakes Nutrients are important for the health of the entire body. It is practically impossible to get all of the nutrients that have proven health benefits through diet alone. A good multi-nutritional supplement will help you obtain optimal nutrient intakes, without increasing your caloric intake. That’s ideal. While all are important, some of the nutrients that are particularly important for the skin’s health include the vitamins A, C and E, the minerals zinc and potassium, various amino acids and the omega-3 fatty acids. 3: Use a Nourishing Facial Cream Daily A nourishing facial cream can help reduce puffy eyes and lighten dark circles if it contains things like the protein keratin. Bioactive keratin is known to support and stimulate the production of new cells and fibers, which keeps the area thick and firm. The ingredient also reduces inflammation, which is the cause of the puffiness. 4: Use a Puffy Eye Treatment Containing EYELISS and HALOXYL EYELISS and HALOXYL are European ingredients. There are a number of gels that contain one or the other. You will see the best results if you find one that contains both. The ingredients reduce puffy eyes by improving fluid circulation. They help reduce dark circles by supporting blood vessel strength and preventing the leakage of waste products, the cause of the shadows. 5: Use a Night Cream that Supports Skin Rejuvenation We already mentioned the importance of getting a good night’s sleep. If you also apply a good night cream, before bedtime, you will look even better in the morning. Some of the best night creams contain Shea butter and avocado extract. Shea butter has natural anti-inflammatory activity, which will reduce puffy eyes. Avocado extract contains plant sterols, which are known to reduce age spots and could help with dark circles, too. Use it tonight. You’ll love your mirror in the morning. And now please visit the XtendSkinCare website listed below for updated information on how to remove dark circles and puffy eyes.

Frankly, I don’t know why I am still getting dark circles and bags even getting sufficient amount of sleep. I make sure I drink more than eight glasses of water and eat the right kind of foods. I can manage and accept the eye bags but my dark circles are so prominent that it always bothers me. Oddly enough my colleagues never had signs of dark circles even after a night out. That even frustrates me more.
I know there is a way to get rid of these bags and dark circles under my eyes. I tried numerous eye creams and lotions but none worked as they should be and I always ended up covering it up with concealers and make it look less noticeable. However, concealers don’t stay long and needs to re-apply over and over again.

With all these realizations and following the program religiously, my friends noticed that my under eye circles lightens and improves after a week. And in a month’s time, I was able to totally eliminate the traces of my dark circles and bags under eyes. And the best part is that I now know how to even prevent it from coming back.
