Bags Under Eyes: Natural Cure And Remedies
1. Cold water. If you need a quick fix for your eye bags when you wake up in the morning, splash your face with cold water for about 10 seconds. Washing your face with cold water helps reduce swelling by tightening the blood vessels of the skin around the eyes.
2. Drinking water. Make it a habit to drink lots of water so that your body will be hydrated and won’t need to store water under the eyes.
3. Tea. Whether it is black or green tea, this caffeinated drink helps tighten blood vessels and lessen swelling of the eyes. Use the teabags to soothe the swelling. Cool two used teabags in the refrigerator before placing them on your eyes. Let them stay for a few minutes. And after you remove them, you will instantly feel the refreshing effect.
4. Potatoes, cucumbers, and egg white. Cucumbers are known for their cooling and soothing effect, while potatoes are known for their ability to cure swelling. Use them to reduce bags under your eyes. You can relax for 5 to 10 minutes with a sliced cucumber placed on each of your eye. Using potatoes to reduce puffy eyes involves a bit of work: peel and wash a potato, grate it, and put it in a clean cloth to create a poultice. Then put the poultice on your eyelids and let it stay for about 15 minutes.
Egg white can also be beneficial to your eyes, as it makes the skin firmer and less saggy. Whip up two egg whites and use a soft cloth to apply the whipped egg white under your eyes.
5. Salt. Salt does trigger puffiness of the eyes, but it can also be a cure. Add half a teaspoon of salt to 1 quart warm water. Dip a cotton ball into the salt solution and place it on your eyelids. Make sure that the cotton touches the eye bags as well. Let it stay for not less than 10 minutes.
6. Teaspoons. Need to get rid of bags under the eyes right away? Enlist the help of the little teaspoons. Chill four teaspoons in the fridge. While lying down, close your eyes and put one chilled teaspoon with the curved side down. Once the spoon warms, replace it with a cold one.
If you don’t take care of your eyes, sags will form under them. Just like any part of your body, your eyes need pampering, too. So cure your eye bags with the help of natural remedies from your kitchen.
